This is one of a family of five baby Rabbits hand reared at the centre by our volunteers.
Sadly her mother was killed by a dog, leaving the family to fend for themselves.
As with so many others that we receive into the centre each year, these Rabbits had to be hand reared by one of our dedicated volunteers. Nestled in a temporary home fashioned from a child’s balaclava, they were initially fed 4 times/day by syringe over a period of several weeks, so we could be sure they would receive the nutrients they needed to survive.
Happily, all five are now doing fine and will soon be released back to the wild.
