Work Experience. 


We welcome a small number of students from local colleges each year to our hospital & rehabilitation facility for real world, hands-on experience in a wildlife hospital.

Positions are very limited and applicants are advised to apply early to secure their place. 


Please note that we do not accept applications written by parents, and students must make contact with The BWRC themselves.


  • We accept students from March-September as these are the busiest months and students can really get the most out of their work expierence.

  • We offer a one day a week placement or a block placement of 2 or more weeks

  • Transport- There are no public transport routes to the hospital so you must be able to drive or have a reliable lift in place before taking on the placement.

  • Hours are 10-4

  • Age 16+

Duties include

  • Cleaning out an array of wild and domestic animals

  • Providing fresh food and water

  • General cleaning duties

  • Working indoors and outdoors 

  • Working alone and as part of a team

  • We ask students to be punctual, enthusiastic and have a drive for knowledge.
